INTRASA is one of Spain’s main raw materials supplier for the high temperature rustic stoneware market.

We have several deposits in the Teruel province currently being exploited, mainly in Cañada de Verich, where part of the extraction is destined for calcination in our rotary furnace, for its eventual transformation into charmotte. Another part of the extraction is dedicated for direct commercialization as a fundamental element in the fabrication of extruded stoneware.

These clays’ main characteristics are their high Al2O3 content (25/35%) and their melting point, allowing an optimal vitrification with low water absorption and high mechanical and temperature resistance (1,350 ºC).
